Author's Roadshow
Kidzpoetz Publishing offers Author Visits to any school, where Robert Kurkela talks about his book, Lilies on the Moon, and reads from it. He is a well-known children's author and publisher, and students of all ages love his poetry. His book is easy for children to relate to. Whimsical poems about being a child are accompanied by his daughter’s vibrant art. His listeners hang on every word as he reads about his daughters taking a bath or imaginary bugs in their beds. The loving bond between a father and child is clearly evident as the pages evolve into a poetic and artistic diary of precious and sometimes arduous youthful moments. Robert is funny, yet his poetry and the stories behind them encourage reading and writing. Give your school a unique and exciting opportunity by hosting an Author Visit as part of Robert's Roadshow!
The Visits are free of charge (travel expenses for long distances from Rockland County, NY apply) and usually last one hour, but can be modified to suit your school's needs. We ask that you submit a press release (created by us) to your local newspaper to announce the event. Copies of Lilies on the Moon will be sold in advance to students, as well as bookmarks, frameable poems, pictures and posters. A standard appearance consists of a 20 minute interactive reading, 20 minute Q&A and 20 minutes for autographing.
